Tour Plan

If your flight comes in at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), an Giant of Africa Safaris agent will be there to meet you and drive you to your Arusha hotel. Overnight, you'll stay at your lodging and wait for your tour the next day. Accommodation: Mount Meru Hotel Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast
After a meal that starts early, we leave for Tarangire National Park. The Tarangire River flows through the Park, which is how it got its name. Wildlife in the area can only get water from this "river of warthogs" during the dry season. There are areas with a lot of plants, like elephant grass, acacia woods, and lush groundwater forests. People come to the Park to see the elephant families, who often hang out by the river. There are also chances to see giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest. Many dangerous animals, like lions and leopards, are very close to these animals. Tarangire National Park is the only place on Earth where more bird species breed than any other park. The best place to see these friendly giants in the wild is in Tarangire. You can see the cute babies all the way up to the scary bulls. After lunch and a long game drive, we go back to our lodge in Maramboi for dinner and the night. Accommodation: Maramboi Tented Lodge Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
We leave for Serengeti National Park early in the morning after breakfast. There is nothing quite like the Serengeti. It's famous for its huge, open fields where you can see a lot of wildlife. The Serengeti is one of the oldest environments on Earth and Tanzania's largest national park. The environment and plants there haven't changed much in millions of years. There is a lot of wildlife in the Serengeti, but the Great Migration may be its most famous event. Many wildebeest, along with many zebras and cattle, move every year in the same routine, always looking for new grass to graze on. It depends on how much rain falls each year to tell exactly when the Migration will happen. After lunch and a long game drive, we travel to our partner cabins with tents for dinner and the night. Accommodation: Kubu Kubu Luxury Tented Lodge Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast in the early morning, we continue our drive through Serengeti National Park on our way to Ngorongoro crater. This crater looks like a lost world when you first see it. Behind the steep volcanic walls is a pristine desert with flat grassland, patches of acacia woodland, and lakes and swamps that sparkle in the sun. Two to three million years ago, a big volcano blew up and fell in on itself, making the Crater. It is well-known for both its beautiful geology and the fact that it is a nature reserve where some of the densest populations of big mammals in all of Africa live. Even the drive down into the Crater is an adventure. Once you get to the floor of the Crater, you'll quickly be surrounded by a lot of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and more than 500 different kinds of birds. You have the best chance of seeing a rare black rhino in the Crater. They are sometimes seen in the open fields. We return to our high-end partner hotels in Karatu for dinner and the night after lunch and a long game drive inside the crater. Accommodation: Kitela Lodge Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast in the morning, we'll drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. There, you'll see a lot of baboons, which will be your first experience with them. The name of the park comes from a plant called Euphorbia tirucalli, which is called "Emanyara" in the Maasai language spoken in the area. Along the green lake shores, there are patches of yellow fever trees, and the rift valley wall stands out from the rest. The park's opening is in a very special place: a groundwater forest that is a lovely change of view from parks that are mostly savannah. The roaring lions, the soda lake with its thousands of pink flamingos, big water birds, and baboon groups, the lush green plants and trees of the groundwater forest, and the rift valley cliffs will make your trip to this area one you'll never forget. At a picnic area, there will be a packed lunch. Drive back to Arusha in the late afternoon so that you have time for your trip home or to Zanzibar.
