Tour Plan
When you get to Kilimanjaro or Arusha International Airport, your private driving guide will meet you there and take you to your accommodation for dinner and the night before your tour starts the next day.
Accommodation: Gran Meliá Arusha
Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast
Your private safari guide will pick you up from your Arusha hotel and drive you to Tarangire, which is about a 2.5-hour drive away.
Tarangire is famous for its wats, grassland, famous baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, which brings life to the area. A lot of animals gather by the river. You can often see giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest. Buffalo, zebras, and wildebeest also live in the Park. Many dangerous animals, like lions and leopards, are very close to these animals. You will be able to enjoy the view and watch the animals from the open roof of the car.
A tasty lunch, coffee, and soft drinks will be brought to you for a picnic in the park.
We return to our high-end partner hotels in Karatu for dinner and the night after a long game drive and lunch.
Accommodation: Kitela Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (soft drinks and house wines included)
We leave early in the morning after breakfast to go to Ngorongoro crater. This crater looks like a lost world when you first see it. Behind the steep volcanic walls is a pristine desert with flat grassland, patches of acacia woodland, and lakes and swamps that sparkle in the sun. Two to three million years ago, a big volcano blew up and fell in on itself, making the Crater. It is well-known for both its beautiful geology and the fact that it is a nature reserve where some of the densest populations of big mammals in all of Africa live. Even the drive down into the Crater is an adventure. Once you get to the floor of the Crater, you'll quickly be surrounded by a lot of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and more than 500 different kinds of birds. You have the best chance of seeing a rare black rhino in the Crater. They are sometimes seen in the open fields.
We go to Serengeti National Park for dinner and the night after lunch and a long game drive. This wonderful park is where you will spend two nights.
Accommodation: Melia Serengeti Lodge
Meal Plan: All meals included
We will go on another game drive in the Serengeti after breakfast at your lodge. On the way to Natron, we will also go on a game drive through Klein's Gate. In the northeast of Tanzania, between the Ngorongoro Highlands and the Serengeti plains, is Lake Natron, which is wild and far away. The area around the lake where the Maasai live is dry, empty, and strangely beautiful. It's not the animals that draw people here; it's the scenery. Your stay will be ready for dinner when you get there.
Accommodation: Lake Natron Camp
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
We will start our day at Lake Natron with an early breakfast. From there, we will follow paths to some of the most interesting places, like hot springs, the Ngare Sero waterfalls, and more. Lake Natron is one of the most alkaline lakes in the world. It is at the base of Oldonyo Lengai, which is Africa's only active volcano and means "Mountain of God." The lake is home to millions of tiny crabs that attract thousands of lesser flamingos. Because of this, it is one of the most important places in the world for flamingos to lay their eggs.
After lunch and some free time to enjoy the activities here, we'll drive back to Karatu for dinner and then to our overnight stay.
Accommodation: Kitela Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (soft drinks and house wines included)
We leave early in the morning after breakfast for Lake Manyara National Park, which is a pristine paradise known for its many birds and cats that climb trees. The Park's western line is the scenic western cliff of the Rift Valley. East of the park is Lake Manyara, which is small and alkaline. A lot of the park is covered by the lake, which floods and dries out with the seasons. When it rains, thousands of flamingos live there. The name Manyara comes from the Maasai word for a famous plant that is used to build a wall around a family farm called a boma. The Park has a wide range of plants, from grassland to evergreen forest. As you walk around the park, you might see a giraffe, a zebra, a wildebeest, a buffalo, an elephant, or, if you're lucky, a lion relaxing in the trees. We go back to Arusha after lunch and a long game drive.
