The Selous is probably Africa’s least known and wildest protected area, rich in game and varied habitat. Visitors of Selous experience unique game viewing away from the maddening crowds, off the beaten track. With its associated wetlands, lakes and swamps, this is one of the most outstanding ecological systems in the whole of Eastern Africa. Due to this unique ecosystem the Selous Game Reserve was designated as a World Heritage site. Safaris can be made here from three distinctively different perspectives – on foot, by boat or by vehicle.

Selous Wilderness Camp is set along the palm-fringed edges of the wide, meandering Rufiji River, just minutes away from the Selous game reserve. The camp offers 7 spacious semi-luxury tents, with stylish furniture, and a private veranda overlooking the meandering river. Being only a small camp, Selous Wilderness Camp offers intimacy and exclusivity to the guests.

The service and hospitality from the experienced staff, combined with the spectacular isolated setting on the banks of the Rufiji River, makes staying here a once in a lifetime wilderness experience.
